Iowa corn and soybean growers may find opportunities to secure breakeven, or better, prices in 2020 thanks to an improved price outlook and expectations for lower production costs, according to an analysis by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF).

While every farmer has different costs and breakeven points, trends in prices and costs for 2020, in general, appear to be moving in a more positive direction for farmers, said Sam Funk, IFBF director of ag analytics and senior economist.
