Mississippi River Threatens Major Spring Flood – levels could rival 2001.

The Nation Weather Service is warning that there is a very high risk of moderate flooding, with a significant chance that some locations experience major flood levels as they expect the highest Upper Mississippi River levels in over 20 years. Flooding is expected in mid to late April, while the river is expected to crest between April 19th-29th barring additional precipitation.
