After missing most of the rains for months, Glienke’s area finally got a good soaking during the past two weeks. “We got a 2 inch rain this week and another one like it the week before,” he said Aug. 17. The rain was probably too late to aid the cornfields, but it was a big help for the soybeans and hay. “I expect we’ll get a fourth hay cutting now,” he said. Pastures are also greening back up, Glienke said.
