“There are a couple of pockets here and there that need a drink,” Johnson said July 18. His area received about 0.5 inch rain last week, but some fields showed heat stress in response to hot temps. “Overall, fields are looking pretty good,” Johnson said. “Beans are maturing faster than I expected.” Corn is about 50% tasseled, and fungicide application is ongoing.Kody Trampel - Hancock County
