“We’re wet, but there’s not a lot of standing water,” Fehr said May 25 after dumping 3 inches of rain out of his gauge. Early-planted cornfields look good, but many of the later ones planted are yellow. he said. There has been some hail in the area, but it didn’t cause severe damage, Fehr said. Soybeans are starting to emerge. Fehr plans to begin side-dressing fertilizer soon.
