The second annual Iowa Soil Health Conference is set for Feb. 16 and 17 in Ames.

The inaugural Soil Health Conference in 2016 drew nearly 300 attendees that included farmers, agronomists, students, scientists, farm managers and agency personnel. The 2017 conference will build on the success of the inaugural conference. The conference will be two full days with a wide range of presentations and formats that address the basic and practical aspects of soil health.

The conference agenda includes speakers from academia, farmers, government agencies, non-profit and industry views concerning soil health understanding, challenges and potential management practices. There will be a poster session highlighting the current research efforts on soil health.
