Join Adam Kiel, executive vice president of AgOutcomes Inc. and manager of the Soil and Water Outcomes Fund, and Matt Herman, Iowa Soybean Association chief officer of demand and advocacy, for a farmer-focused conversation about the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit. Participants will learn how 45Z could create additional value for soybeans and corn, how conservation practices connect with the credit, what documentation and verification may be needed, and what Iowa Soybean Association is doing to improve opportunities for farmers. The discussion will also cover how understanding 45Z could help farmers take advantage of potential premium markets.

Nitrogen Management in the Face of Super El Niño

Join Iowa Learning Farms, Iowa State University soil scientist Mike Castellano, and Iowa State Climatologist Justin Glisan for a virtual field day focused on nitrogen management strategies during a strong El Niño year. Participants will learn how changing weather patterns and soil conditions may impact nitrogen availability, fertilizer and manure management decisions, and potential nutrient loss this fall. The discussion will highlight adaptive management practices that support farm profitability, productivity and environmental stewardship. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for the live discussion. The event will be recorded and available for future viewing.
