Higher yields mean low crop insurance payments

Relatively high corn and soybean yields should result in low crop insurance payments in Iowa and over much of the Midwest, economists said after crop insurance harvest prices became known last week.
Crop insurance harvest prices for corn and soybeans in Midwest states are based on Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) settlement prices during the month of October.
