Despite continued strong demand for Iowa farmland, rising interest rates are limiting buying power, which has led to flat farmland values during the past six months.

A semiannual survey of land trends and values released Oct. 5 by the Realtors Land Institute (RLI) Iowa Chapter shows ag land values decreased 0.2% on a statewide average of high, medium and low quality land across the nine crop-reporting districts.
