Although the controversial new Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rules have already taken effect in Iowa and 36 other states, it’s critical that Farm Bureau members continue to talk with lawmakers to urge them to support legislation to stop the rule, according to Christina Gruenhagen, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) government relations counsel.

"We are continuing our efforts to stop the WOTUS rule both in the Congress and the courts, and we need your help," Gruenhagen said last week during the IFBF Summer Policy Conference in West Des Moines. "It’s important that we keep talking to our Congressional delegation to find a way to stop this."
