Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa is angling for a spot on the conference committee that will sort out the differences in the House and Senate farm bills.

Ernst told Iowa Farm Bureau members last week that she has told Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell about her desire to sit on the committee.
