Bayer last week received the final export approval needed to launch its new XtendFlex herbicide tolerant soybeans, but registration of dicamba herbicides needed to fully utilize the technology remains on hold.

The authorization for food, feed, export and processing in the European Union allows Bayer to move forward with plans for a full launch of XtendFlex soybeans next year on an estimated 20 million acres in the U.S. and Canada.
