PepperHarrow Farm in Winterset turns into a winter wonderland during the holidays, offering fresh greens and farm-grown lavender to decorate your home.

Just outside Winterset, overlooking the Middle River valley, sits a garden paradise  — 6 solid acres of dahlias, lavender, sunflowers, zinnias and snapdragons. There are more than 100 floral varieties at PepperHarrow Farm, all lovingly, and sustainably, tended by Farm Bureau members Adam and Jennifer O’Neal.

The flowers are part of a 20-acre farm that also includes a garden/bridal cottage, a groomed open field for gatherings or weddings, and an event barn that seats 36 for dinner, 100 without table seating.

It’s the event barn that typically sees action this time of year, playing host to a series of classes on making fresh holiday decorations.
