Local crop marketing workshops (Winning the Game) will be held in Calmar, Nevada, Dunlap and Algona during February.   Farmers in those areas are invited to attend free of charge due to local sponsorship.    Since crop marketing plans and tools take on increased importance in these times of the continuing tight/no crop margins being experienced by Iowa farmers, these workshops offer very practical education that can immediately help farmers manage risk in these tough times.

The program introduces characters that market using specific timing and other characteristics to show the results of different strategies over time.  After seeing the results over years of history, farmers can then begin to incorporate their own marketing plans.   Plus, participants get to practice with an interactive marketing simulation during the session (using a real year from the past)!   Each participant gets a booklet with the visuals and additional information.

Pre-registration is encouraged to plan for these events; for more information and to pre-register, please click here.
