Last week's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) showed both corn and soybean yields and acres down in the U.S., reflecting weather events that have struck the Midwest. 

The USDA cut harvested corn acreage by 550,000 acres in Iowa following its survey of damage from the Aug. 10 derecho. Soybean acres were unchanged.
