After hearing concerns from pork producers at meetings across Iowa, Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley said he will push for federal agencies to appeal a federal court ruling that threatens to slow the pace of processing lines at some pork processing plants.

The ruling, Grassley said last week, would reduce demand for hogs and hurt farmers’ income, especially farmers with smaller operations.
