As the U.S. cattle cycle moves into its liquidation phase, cattle prices will go up as supply tightens, according to speakers at the annual CattleFax Protein and Grain Outlook, presented at the 2021 Cattle Industry Convention held in Nashville last week.

“Demand for beef is great,” said Kevin Good, vice president of industry relations and analysis at CattleFax. “As we go into a time of tighter supplies, there are more dollars in the system. We just need to get hold of them.”
