If you are passionate about local foods and biking is your thing, you may want to participate in the 2016 Local Food Cycle, sponsored by Prairie Rivers of Iowa.
This year’s ride on Sunday, Sept. 18 will start in Ames and make a 45-mile loop west to Boone and then south to Madrid, making a stop at Ledges State Park, before returning to Ames. Along the way, riders will stop to stretch tired muscles, taste local foods and see educational presentations on conservation practices.
