An Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) draft report on atrazine contains numerous data and methodological errors that could result in a "de facto" ban on its use, Dan Campbell, regulatory team lead at Syngenta, told Iowa Farm Bureau members last week in Washington, D.C..

"They’ve (EPA) severely cherry-picked the studies and data," Campbell told members.

If the assessment is considered during the registration process, there’s a chance it may not make it through the process, Campbell said. Atrazine was pulled from registration in Europe in 2007-2008.
