The Iowa Farm Bureau Fed­eration (IFBF), along with the state’s other leading ag organizations, last week applauded the appointment of Wendy Win­ter­steen as president of Iowa State University (ISU).

The appointment of Winter­steen, who has served as dean of ISU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) since 2006, underscores the importance of agriculture to the university and to the entire state, ag leaders said.
