The American Farm Bureau Federation joined more than 80 agricultural groups last week in filing a formal objection to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Aug. 30 rule to revoke all tolerances of the insecticide chlorpyrifos on crops. 

The coalition of farm groups, co-ops, refiners and other ag stakeholders said the rule would cause “significant and irreparable harm to food and agricultural stakeholders” and asked the EPA to delay and eventually rescind implementation of the rule.
