people, progress, and prideIowa Farm Bureau believes in cultivating individuals with great character, a strong work ethic and exceptional leadership skills. We know that strong, vibrant schools are the cornerstone of many of our communities.

That’s why we are the title sponsor of the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

Off the court, Iowa Farm Bureau sponsors the annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Program, which annually recognizes nearly 400 of Iowa’s best students annually. We also provide nearly $500,000 in annual scholarships for college students.

Farm Bureau provides nearly $500,000 in annual scholarships for college students.

Farm Bureau also champions bringing agriculture into our classrooms, through county Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom (AITC) programs and the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation (IALF). IALF (created in 2014) serves as a central resource for teachers and volunteers who want to teach Iowa’s students about agriculture.

Teaching about agriculture in Iowa is an ideal way for students to learn about an industry and way of life that's critically important to their state and make real-life connections to science, math, and social studies concepts. The programs and resources that AITC and IALF provide are developed with teacher needs and academic standards in mind and are coupled with STEM-based (science, technology, engineering, math) learning activities.

Hundreds of volunteers, along with AITC and IALF staff, enter classrooms and reach thousands of students each year. In its first three years, IALF's work has reached 371,160 K-12 students.

In its first three years, the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation has reached more than 371,160 students.

Farm Bureau is also proud to sponsor Iowa 4-H, Iowa FFA and other organizations that prepare the next generation of agricultural innovators. Since 2015, Iowa Farm Bureau is an annual $100,000 donor to the Iowa FFA Foundation. This financial support makes it possible for youth leadership development events.

As we begin our next 100 years, Iowa Farm Bureau will continue to invest in the students who will ensure Iowa's bright future. We hope you'll join us by becoming a Farm Bureau member today!
