A northwest Iowa farmer almost broke the 100-bushel barrier with his entry in the 2021 Asgrow National Yield Contest. Ireton’s Casey Westergard was among the top finishers in the nationwide soybean contest announced last month with a yield of 99.4 bushels per acre, planting Asgrow AG20XF1 brand. 

While he is thrilled to receive the honor, Westergard said he isn’t particularly surprised at the results he and others are seeing with Asgrow soybeans. He started planting Asgrow varieties 10 to 15 years ago.
