Motor Fuels

  • As of Wednesday, June 24, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.08 across Iowa according to AAA.
    • Prices rose $.04 from last week’s price and $.43 lower than one year ago.
    • The national average on Wednesday was $2.16 up $.05 from last week’s price.
  • Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose $.04 this week with a statewide average of $2.22.
    • One year ago, diesel prices averaged $2.88 in Iowa.
    • The current Iowa diesel price is $.22 less than the national average of $2.44.
  • Wholesale ethanol prices fell $.13, currently at $1.12.
  • The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.29 for U87-E10, $1.41 for Unleaded 87 (clear), ULSD#2 is at $1.26, ULSD#1 is at $1.42, and E-70 priced at $1.37 per gallon.

Heating Fuels

  • Natural Gas prices rose $.06 at the Henry Hub reporting site and currently priced at $1.68/MMbtu.
