A warmer than normal overall temperature trend Iowa experienced in November continued into December.

The month’s average temperatures were from two to seven degrees above normal in most of the state.  Into late December precipitation and snowfall had averaged near to below normal in most of Iowa; however, a late month storm system increased amounts significantly in much of the state.
