Technology has come a long way since the grain moisture sampler Dennis Bogaards remembers his dad getting on his family’s farm.
"That was the most advanced piece of technology on our farm when I was a kid," Bogaards, a Pella-area farmer who specializes in precision ag technology, told student members of the Iowa Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization (PAS) last week during their fall conference in Iowa Falls. "We’ve come a long ways very fast."
