Favorable weather conditions in April allowed folks to get fertilizer applied, and some corn planting was accomplished. Corn and soybean planting was delayed by the late April rains, but this should not have any negative impact on the crops’ yield potential.

Heavy rainfall and cold, saturated soils occurring soon after planting may necessitate some areas of replanting. Fortunately, we are early enough in the growing season that timely replanting should still allow for maximum yields.
