Dallas County farmer Linda Juckette and Iowa Farm Bureau hosted South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, April 22 at Juckette’s Prairie Valley Farms near Cumming for a farm tour and discussion about overreaching regulations imposed by a new Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.

Scott, a potential 2024 candidate for president, heard a first-hand account about how the rule now gives the federal government more authority over private lands, subjecting farmers to complicated and overreaching regulations that could cause uncertainty on large areas of private farmland that lie miles from the nearest navigable water.
