Iowa Farm Bureau members cheered last week as Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law Senate File 512, a bill to provide secure, long-term and dedicated state funding to support Iowa farmers’ efforts to advance conservation and water quality.

“This is a huge first step forward,” said Story County Farm Bureau member Mark Kenney, who attended the bill signing at the state Capitol. “This shows that the governor and the state Legislature are willing to place an emphasis on improving water quality and are making a long-term investment in it.”
