Princess educates consumers about Iowa’s dairy industry
This summer, Katelyn Goldsmith from Earlville is finishing her reign as the 63rd Iowa Dairy Princess.
Katelyn, daughter of Jim and Kristi Goldsmith, spent the year serving as a goodwill ambassador for Iowa’s dairy farmers. Throughout her yearlong reign, she made appearances to help people understand the dedication of dairy farm families to their cows, their land and the milk their cows produce.
Goldsmith’s family milks about 150 Holstein cows.
"We raise our own replacement animals and finish out all of our steers," she said....
