Nominations open for farm environmental award

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, along with Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and Department of Natural Resources Director Chuck Gipp, encourage Iowans to nominate farmers for the Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award.
The award, a joint effort between the Governor’s Office, the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, recognizes farmers who have taken voluntary action to improve or protect Iowa’s environment and natural resources.
Nominations are due by June 15. Winners will be recognized on Aug. 15 at the Iowa State Fair. Go to https://www.iowaagriculture.gov/EnvironmentalLeader.asp for a nomination form.
