Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) is a viral disease characterized by reproductive failure in breeding animals and respiratory disease in pigs of any age. PRRS is the most economically significant swine disease in North America. Join the Iowa Farm Bureau as we host Dr. Derald Holtkamp, Professor in the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University, to discuss the disease, its impacts on swine production, and efforts to combat this deadly threat.
