“We’re sitting pretty good here on moisture,” Boettcher said Aug. 11. Her area got 4 inches of rain Aug. 6-7. “There was basically no ponding, just a good, soaking rain. They’re calling it a million dollar rain.” Boettcher said the storm will help finish out the season. She is seeing a few aphids in the fields, but “I think we’re dry enough to deter most pests,” Boettcher said.Devon Murray - Floyd County
