It’s been a dramatic temperature turnaround for Iowa over the past month.

Data from the National Centers for Environmental Information indicate that April 2018 ranked as the coolest April in Iowa since 1895, with the statewide average temperature around 10 degrees below normal.

But, through most of the month of May, temperatures in Iowa averaged from 2 to 7 degrees above normal, and it appeared these departures would increase some before the end of the month.
