“There’s quite a bit of silage chopped around here already,” Morey said Aug. 31. “I’d say for the area we’re probably about 60% done, and most of the big dairies are done.” Soybeans are starting to change color, and sandy spots are showing up in fields due to heat and moisture stress. Morey cut and baled hay on CRP acres last week and planned to start putting up fourth-cutting hay. ”
