Ponds in crop fields are full again after some areas received up to 6 inches of rain, Dreith said Aug. 30. He received about 3 inches of rain, and there was large hail about 8 miles north of his farm. Dairy farms have started chopping corn silage, and everyone else is getting equipment ready. “The beans are starting to get a little color to them, especially on the marginal ground,” he said.
