Rosburg said an insurance adjuster was coming last week to assess a soybean field damaged by quarter-inch size hail. Crop development remains well behind normal. “Some late-April planted corn has some dent, but it’s a long ways from black layer. Our dryer is going to get a workout.” He’s hopeful corn yields will be around average, but said he expects bean yields to be below average.
