“There have been some guys who  are poking into corn fields and one guy harvested some beans, but nothing steady yet,” Fehr said Sept. 21. Many fields in the area are still green and need more heat to get them ready for harvest, he said. There has been a lot of silage chopped in the area and farmers are doing maintenance on machinery to get ready for harvest, Fehr said.
