“We finally got the rain, but it was a little too late," Sievers said Sept. 10. Many soybean fields are ready for the combine with moisture levels at 9% or 10%, he said. Corn also dried fast in the hot, windy days around Labor Day, Sievers said. "I'd bet by the middle of next week we'll have a lot of guys going full bore around here," he said.
