“Crops and livestock were handling last week’s heat OK, Hofland said Aug. 24. “That 4.5 inches of rain we had a couple of weeks ago is paying off now. I think things look good,” he said. “I don’t know what we’ll get for yields, but I’m optimistic.” Insect and disease pressure remains light for the most part. Hay is coming back and will be ready for cutting in a week or two. ”” ”
