“It can’t seem to rain here,” Twedt said Aug. 4. “It’s become more spotty, so a few places are getting rain but the very western edge of Lyon County is dry.” He had less than an inch of rain since July 7 and just under 2 inches since June 20. “We should be chopping silage soon on our light ground,” he said. “Our good ground still has potential if we could catch a rain.” He sprayed for soybean aphids.
