Conditions look a little better after nearly 1 inch of rain last week, but crops remain under stress, Fehr said July 27. “We’ve been running our center pivot about 24/7 for a while now,” he said. Corn on lighter soils is starting to show stress, Fehr said, but soybeans are holding up relatively well. Some farmers are having fungicides applied; others are holding off because of the dry conditions, he said.
