Corn is tasseling, but soil moisture remains short, which is a concern heading into a period of hot July temperatures, Jesse said July 14. “It’s really dry,” she said. Pollination will be spread over a longer period than normal this year because of the significant difference in planting dates this spring. Soybeans are at or near the blooming stage.
