There’s been no relief from heavy rains as drowned-out areas continue to grow, Dreith said July 5. He had almost 3 inches of rain overnight, and nearby areas had around 7 inches. Some fields also sustained hail damage the previous week. Corn is uneven ranging from shoulder-high to tasseling. “Everything’s at different stages because planting was so spread out,” he said.
