Hammen is seeing an uptick in HPPD resistant weeds, like waterhemp, as well as False Japanese Beetles during scouting last week. “Normally the beetles aren’t much of an issue, but if you get enough of them, they can cause defoliation,” he said June 20. Hammen’s farm received 1.25 inches of rain last week, and he heard reports of 8-9 inches falling north of him.
