Crops show signs of moisture stress, Kooiker said June 17. “Lots of corn is rolling leaves,” he said. “The biggest thing is the heat and low humidity. Last Friday, we had 0.15 of rain in the morning, and we raked and baled hay in the afternoon.” Hay was light in quantity but good quality, he said. Most farmers have wrapped up side-dressing corn and are spraying beans.
