Planters were stopped by rain after a limited amount of fieldwork was done early last week, Dreith said May 3. “North of Highway 3, guys got going a little bit on Sunday,” he said. “Guys were hitting it hard on Monday and Tuesday.” He had three-quarters inch of rain Tuesday night, but amounts nearby ranged from 0.4 to 1.3 inches, resulting in ponds in some fields.
