“We got a little rain, but we could use a lot more and some heat,” Sievers said May 14. He estimated that about 95% of the corn and about one-third of the soybeans in the area had emerged. Stands look good in most fields, with very good seed-to-soil contact, Sievers said. “Frost dinged the corn a bit, but it looks like it is coming back well,” he added.
