“Planting of corn and soybeans is roughly 90% complete in the area, Fisch said May 8. Limited rainfall allowed for steady planting progress. “We are beginning to see some emergence” of earlier planted corn and beans, she said. “(Planting) progress has been steady.” There’s some talk that this could again be another dry year, so fingers crossed for rainfall soon, she said.
