“We’re still pretty wet here,” Glienke said April 20 right after a round of showers drenched the area. “We have very little corn planted. I’d guess only about four or five guys have planted in the three-county area.” Most farmers have finished up anhydrous applications and fieldwork and are just waiting for the soil to dry and warm up, he said. Glienke grows corn, soybeans and alfalfa near Washta and runs a cow/calf herd.
